When I was almost 10, my little brother was born 3 months premature. In the NICU for two months, he was off limits for me. I wasn't able to see him until he came home, but my mother told us the stories and showed us pictures. Now, you wouldn't guess what his first two months were like. He has developed without any of the complications that the doctors were expecting, and he's one of the sweetest boys I've ever met.

Peer pressure. Stress. Raising your two brothers, your sister, and your dad. It gets to you. You become weaker than you ever thought you would. Yeah. I know the feeling.

This is probably the only poem that I've ever written that wasn't required for class. I don't usually write poetry, but I guess this is the exception.

Abby's mom died when Abby was only a teenager. Seven years later, Abby and her friend Michael come up with a plan to undo all the hurt that her death caused. They come up with a plan to get her mom back.

In the Society, no one is allowed to leave. The People are held prisoner, forced to live each day in misery and fear. The City is dangerous, and people disappear daily. In the middle of it all is the Center, where criminals are caught and tortured. No one has ever escaped. Until now.

In the darkness of night, beings crouch, waiting for the opportunity to strike. They lurk in the shadows until they find their victims, and commit unspeakable sins. They are the Shadow Climbers, and they are recruiting.

This is my entry for the Famous for a Page contest. I chose Juniper Lee, Wendy, and Judy Colella. It's a twist on The Wizard of Oz.

On my twelfth birthday, I was in a roll-over car crash with my mom. We rolled four times, and the outside of the car ended up looking like an old, beat-up tin can. We were taken to the hospital, where we were x-rayed and then sent home. It is an experience that is burned into my mind forever.

This is my entry for the biggest fear contest. I'm not really scared of this actually happening, but I can imagine that it's probably the scariest thing that could EVER happen, so here ya go. :)

Over the last 17 years, my mom and dad have been working on creating the perfect family. It took fifteen years to get the complete package, with five separate deliveries and one that never arrived. I don't remember my older brother's birth (duh) or mine, but the rest are clear memories, as if they only happened the other day.
