This is just a story that I wrote at school. It was quite good so I thought I might as well put it on here. Basically its a story of adventure and love, secrets and betrayal. Trust me, everone would like it.
There is a magical world in the region of Eunemphia (pronouced yew-nem-fee-a) called Chickenland, where chickens roam free. However, theses aren't any ordinary chickens, these are magical chickens. Annie has just started a new high school, when she begins to recieve anonymous letters from a secret admirer, although the only thing it ever says in it is 'Luv u!'. She decides to set out on the quest to find her secret admirer.
When Tanya starts to grow super-long hair on her arms and legs, people in her high start to point and jeer at her. "Big foot!" They call her. "Animal!" They call her. Then, a mysterious person, or that's what Tanya thinks they are, who never shows their eyes to her, tells her she's a half blood. Half blood what? Where is this place that Tanya belongs? Who is the mysterious figure? Soon, it all comes into place...
Chirp is an ordinary chaffinch in a pet store. He dreams of being a mighty eagle, free forever, and when he finally gets the chance to escape and be free, what does he do?
This is an entry to the short, short story contest. It is all based on historical events, such as World War Two, the Berlin Wall, the Industrial Revolution, Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee and the Battle of Hastings.
