Episode Seven "Survival Instincts S1 E2 - Only Friend"
Eight years have passed since my parent’s death. Since then, I’ve been living in the fort along with the other families and orphans. These eight years have sparked many fights between bullies and myself, but one person has always stood in front of me, protecting me. His name is Garfield Alvarez and he is the only friend that I’ve made. Garfield is a strange person due to his behavior. He was extremely nice to me---mean to others---but, somehow, he’s also the harshest person I’ve met. He’s strict on my training, but nice to me once training’s over. He acts like an older brother, a relationship that I’ve never had before.
Garfield was tight-lipped about anything concerning his past. The scars on his back were a tale that has never been told. Instead, Garfield acts as if they never existed and ignored any questions about it. He could’ve been abused at a young age, which makes sense why he doesn’t talk about his life before arriving at the fort---parentless and near-naked. The only thing that he has told me about is the good events in his life. Good memories were the only tales that he’s told.
The government of the fort, being high-rank military officers, forced every individual over eighteen into training. This forced any normal citizen to grow stronger, to the point that a zombie couldn’t defeat them during a one on one. This strong army allowed the high-rank officers to devise plans to expand the fort, including a new plan that will gather most of the fort’s force and converge on a nearby town for supplies and land. Three squads have been given the green light to invade the town on a “reclaiming” mission. As a private, I was sent along under one of the teams known as the Warriors with Garfield. I’m fortunate that my best friend and protector is in the same squad as myself. The plan is set to be in motion soon.

Episode Eight "The Adopted Human-Elves S1 E2 - Rockshin Tribe Part One"The two began their training with Menzo to efficiently use their weapons, Five preferring a dagger while Roxy had skill with a sword. Menzo’s daughter, Lexiss, assisted with their training by identifying their elements. “Roxy can use three elements: earth, water, and light,” Lexiss stated.
“What about me?” Five asked.
Lexiss raised her palm to his forehead and scanned for elements. “You have… two: fire and wind!” She declared.
“Oh, that’s awesome.” Five said, slightly disappointed in having fewer elements than Roxy.
“Now it’s time to train you in utilizing your magic! The first basic skill that I can teach both of you is ‘Mana Concentration’ since this skill is the one you need to master before using any of your magic.” He then connected to fingertips, forming an ace with his hands. “All you need to do is concentrate and focus on moving the mana around your body. Circulate the mana until it flows naturally, then you’ll be able to use magic.” Menzo explained.
“Okay, now let’s try it,” Lexiss said. Five nodded and sat down on the floor, crossing his legs and connecting his fingertips.
“What are you doing?” Roxy asked.
“I saw it in a manga.” Five explained before he began to adjust the mana in his body. Roxy followed suit, sitting down next to Five and adjusting her mana until they gained control of their mana.
“Next, since you both have different element attributes, we’ll split up with my daughter teaching Roxy while I teach Five,” Menzo announced. He then inched closer to Five and whispered “You’ll be getting me, so throw away any thoughts you may have about my daughter!”
“O-Of cou-course, sir.” Five whispered back.
“Well, it’s time to begin training. Lexiss, take care of Roxy while I take care of him.” Menzo said with a fake smile. Lexiss nodded her head and took Roxy away from them, leaving Five stuck with Menzo.
“Help,” he muttered as Menzo began training.
“They’re here!” An elf shouted.
“The Rockshin tribe is here!” Another elf shouted.
“The Rockshin tribe?” Menzo questioned, raising his head to stare in the direction of the shouting. “Five! Follow me!” He shouted while rushing towards the shouting, which was coming from the main entrance of the camp. They got to the main entrance where fifteen Rockshin tribe members stood at.
“Where is Elas?” One of the Rockshin tribe members shouted, a cat beastkin with dark skin and red hair. She had black eyebrows, blue eyes, and wore a gray cloak.
“You’re the Rockshin chief, Xoa, right?” Menzo asked, pushing his way through the crowd.
“Yeah, I want to talk to Elas before we take you over!” She shouted.
“You wish for us to be under your control?” Elas asked, appearing from nowhere. The crowd shuttled to the sides and allowed Elas to pass by.
“I do, will you step aside or will you fight us?” Xoa asked.
“I cannot allow my people to be enslaved!” Elas declared, puffing his chest out.
“Then it seems like we’ll have to decide this with our fists.”
“I guess we have to,” Elas responded.
Menzo leaned in and told Five to prepare for the upcoming fight. Five nodded his head. Xoa and Elas glared at each other as they prepared themselves for a bloody fight.
“Now!” Xoa shouted.
“Attack!” Elas shouted.

Episode Nine "Creation S1 E3 - Skill Training / Max"Ex ventured into the forest to begin training. He planned to familiarize himself with his skills and find proper and efficient ways to use them. Using a nearby goblin dungeon, Ex experiments with his skills, discovering the strengths and weaknesses. He used his Physical Enhancement skill, which increases his overall strength and durability of his forcefield and other stamina-based skills. Keeping the skill active drained his mana, leading to exhaustion.
He fought the goblins barehanded for the majority of his training time with his Physical Enhancement active. He then activated his ‘Forcefield’ and allowed a couple of goblins to attack him, their attacks bouncing off a transparent bubble that formed around him. Within the forcefield, Ex decided to use his Creation skills; Creation: Fire, Creation: Light, and Creation: Darkness. To use the Creation skills, he needed to harness the element that he’s using, but could only fire off a short blast of the raw element. He couldn’t transform the elements into weapons.
He burned through the goblin dungeon before returning to the town full of spiteful villagers. Waiting for him at a wooden shack on the outskirts of the village was Max, the wolf pup that he helped save. The villagers have gotten used to Ex and Mac, but they didn’t respect him; resenting him for saving the wolf. The only thing that quelled their anger was Ex acting as guardian of the village, defending them from other Diamondrock wolves and monsters.
Two weeks later, Max had increased in size, changing from a rank G Diamondrock pup to a rank F Diamondrock teenage wolf. He was no longer a defenseless, weak, and dying wolf pup that Ex found upon his first contact with the world. Along with his size, Max also began to gain new skills, but they were at low rank and provided little advantages for him. This new strength, however, provided Max as the perfect companion for Ex.

Episode Ten "Failed Summoner and Her Weak Summon S1 E1 - Failed Summoner"In order to survive in the village, you must become a successful and respected summoner that follows the Three Rules of Summoner Law. The first rule is to summon a beast by the age of fifteen. The second is to constantly train your summoned beast and yourself until you pass the heavens. The third and final rule is to use your abilities for good and maintain a good reputation. However, as time passed these rules were twisted to one’s benefit, leading to the rules being unused and disrespected.
The way of survival had changed from following the Three Rules of Summoner Law and becoming a successful summoner to caring about the rank of their summoned beasts. Summoners with mythical and legendary beasts were treated in higher regards than summoners with lower rank summoned beasts.
Unfortunately, Ashanti hadn’t managed to summon a beast---low or high rank. Four years past her prime and she remained beast-less, facing the ridicule of younger and older summoners. Her peer summoners handed her the nickname of ‘Failed Summoner’ and joked about her situation, leading to countless nights of crying herself to sleep. The pressure and constant bullying, soon, tore her apart. One night, however, changed everything.
While sitting on the floor crying out to God, a strange light appeared in front of her that pierced through the darkness, hovering around her wherever she went. She looked up at the circular light that emerged with a face drenched in tears. The light then expanded into the figure of a human. The light then dispersed, leaving a sixteen-year-old human male with torn clothes in its spot. “W-W-Where am I?” he asked
