The Blessed Harmony
Of a mother at ease

Forewarning to the trials
That lay ahead

A road of thorns
A crown of roses
A bed of triumphs
A rest that would never end

Stumbling to rise
Took every effort
Standing in dignity
Despite the lack of ease

A never-ending lesson
In Compassion
A whirlwind of Love
Surrounding Thee

We walked beside you
Did our best to ease your pain
We were struck with the same
Vines of resilience
Lashed together
To withstand the strain

You’d have to close your eyes
To see the calming sun
I would not block the rays
Of Heaven’s opening gates

Welcome her home
My heart bled out her name
She earned her direct entrance
Angel’s teardrops paved the way.

We witnessed her Spirit
Exit with one last breath
A shell and a lifetime of memories
Is all that is left

Rest My Love
You’ve endured enough
No more medicine,
No more pain

Our bond is greater
And stronger than
This physical world
Could ever break.

Save me a seat in Heaven
