chapter 1

“hi, my name is Emily.” And I want to tell you my story, but first you need to get to know me. Well I’m 15 and I live with my uncle. My parents died when I was 7 and ever since I’ve been abused. My uncle has a drinking problem and smokes a lot. One night when I was 10 I was laying in my bed, when he walked in and raped me. When I went to school the next day they asked why did I have bruises on my arms. My uncle told me not to say anything or he’ll hurt me, so I just told them I fell down and was playing around with my uncle. Now when he drinks I hide under my bed or run outside and hangout with my friends. As I got into middle school I was beaten so much no one wanted to talk to me anymore. And the teachers never asked what happened to me. the only one who really cared was my best friend Ashley. But just recently we were walking down a rainy road she walked out to pick up and interesting locketand a car came swerving by and she died in bad accident by a drunk driver.

~R.I.P. i love you Ashley.

Arguing about what pack of cigarettes to buy. It’s pretty childish though. Her uncle tells her to go back to the store and buy the correct ones. She has to go back but she’s to mad and stays. The start arguing again and get tired of yelling and just give up. Today is the day she decides that she’s had enough of her uncle and wants to break free and run away. She packs her bags and takes some money while her uncle was sleeping. She thinks her plans through and finally she walks out the door and goes away. When she runs away she realizes that she doesn’t have enough money to last her the night. She turns to asking people for money but it doesn’t work out as well as she thought it would. She gives up and finds a cozy place to lie down.
The door she’s sitting by opens and hits her in the head. She looks up and finds a beautiful green eyed boy with brown hair staring at her. He asked her if she was ok.
She said,
“I’m fine but I might have a slight concussion.”
They both laugh and he says, “hi my name is Jacob, I’m sorry about that.”
She says, “it’s ok, Oh be the way I’m Emily.”
“Hi Emily, are you doing anything tonight?
“No not really.”
“Want to hang out?”
“Sure.”, she says
All through the night they spend time together.
They start off at the “Jolly Diner”.
"So what are you doing her?"
"Harsh much? Ha-ha but yea I’m just here, If I told you why you wouldn’t believe me."

'Come on you can tell me anything.'
'Ha-ha really? But I just met you.?'
"Honest what can I really do to hurt you?"
"Well nothing but……."
"Soooo?"
"Well if I tell you you can’t tell anyone! Promise?"
"Yes! I promise I won’t tell ANYONE!"
"Ok well I ran away because I was in an abusive environment"
"Oh wow! With who your parents?"
"No my parents died when I was 7 and was forced to liv with my uncle."
"Im sorry…"
"Its ok .."
"Do you have a place to stay tonight?"
