The alliance members slowly entered the room and breathed astonished. "Don't push me, you fool," Zorena could hear Firewolf's voice and watched as the blood master fought Raiu. "Otherwise you'll get to feel my pizza," Firewolf threatened and started laughing out loud a little later. Raiu, who was annoyed and twitched one eye, let Mizu lead him into the room, who giggled softly. But her laughter stopped immediately when she saw Zorena. Kuroneko began to rejoice and fell around the neck of Lilith, a conjurer, and embraced her happily. The young lady almost fell over and called Kuroneko frightened by his name. "Zorena is back!" he called and began to cheer without paying attention to Lilith's curses. The other members did the same, clapping and cheering. Firewolf grinned and stepped towards Zorena and Sin when he saw them. The two siblings smiled at the reaction of the alliance members and both looked at Firewolf. "Now that you're well and truly up with us again. We have a reason to celebrate," he said contentedly and grinned. Zorena smiled, put her head to one side and spoke in her soft voice: "Not yet. We have important things to talk about." She spoke the last sentence louder so that everyone could hear and it immediately became quiet in the common room. The members sat down on various seats and looked curiously at Zorena. As Zorena looked around she could see her two daughters next to Lucian on the sofa. Both looked at their mother with curiosity and were beaming all over their faces. When Zorena stepped forward all eyes were on the lady and looked at her curiously. "Wait a minute, is that really Zorena?" asked a conjurer named GM, who was sitting next to Mizu and Raiu. Raiu grumbled and shook his head, Zorena raised her eyebrow and looked at GM, who looked at Zorena thoughtfully. Before the leader could answer, Lucian stood up and said, "Yes I have transferred my magic to her. Shocked, GM looked at Lucian, who stepped to Zorena's side and took the hand of his wife. The former summoner smiled and looked Zorena happily in the eyes. "Are you crazy?!" cried GM and stood up. Shocked, Lucian looked at GM and gently let go of his wife's hand. "Do you realize what you have done? You can never be a conjurer again," cried GM and grabbed his cheek in shock. "Relax, GM," Lucian said amusedly and crossed his arms. "Yes, don't worry about Lucian. I'll take care of it," Sin said and stepped to Zorena's left free side. The alliance members spoke softly and looked from Zorena to Lucian. Apparently it wasn't only Poison who was worried about Lucian. The gentleman smiled, looked from GM to the other members and said: "Lucian will certainly be a great warrior, but that's not what it's all about today." Sin looked at GM, who nodded and looked back at Zorena and swallowed.
The lady took two steps forward and looked around the circle. All eyes were on her and the members were just waiting for Zorena to break that icy silence. So the new leader took a deep breath and began to speak in a loud voice: "Sometimes you have to die inside to be born again as a stronger and wiser version of yourself". The woman paused and looked behind her briefly at her husband, who nodded to her. Then the leader looked back at her people, and continued: "Suzuki is dead. It is time to release the Phoenix from its cage." The members breathed astonished, some whispered nervously, but their eyes did not let go of Zorena, who swallowed and continued to speak: "You have known since the beginning of our alliance that I am the rightful leader of Phoenix and have always put us all first. I know that most of you are loyal to me, but I do not want to take away your free choice. You all decide for yourselves if you want to follow me or not. Zorena took a break and looked around the room, nobody dared to say anything. The leader sighed, bowed her head and closed her eyes. Blue starlight began to gather around her body. Blue flames danced around her wrists and behind Zorena slowly appeared her ice blue phoenix. Ice blue flames danced over the bird's wings, the bird's silver eyes fixed the members. The bird cried out loudly and spread its wings. Flames danced to the ground and made the starry sky shine brightly. "Time for the phoenix to unfold its true power," said Zorena loudly and raised her right hand into the air, which was surrounded by ice-blue flames. The phoenix uttered its call and the members agreed jubilantly. Firewolf grinned, stretched his arms in the air and agreed to the cheering of the alliance members. Lucian smiled and sighed happily. His wife was surrounded by a power capable of leading her alliance to victory. Blue starlight danced around Zorena's body and the flames burned into her skin, forming a kind of wing. A dark blue-black tattoo of a burning feather on her outstretched hand. They would show Legends, Wolf and Synergy what it meant to be a true alliance. They would show the gods who would really win the battle of the gods. As long as they all stick together and follow Zorena's lead, they would win it all. They would win all alliance wars, they would protect all alliances from disaster and make friends. They would show the gods what it means to live.
Chapter.12.
Zorena opened her eyes. The sunlight was reflected in the mirrors of the room and blinded the black-haired woman. She sighed and turned to the side in her white canopy bed to avoid the sunlight, snuggled up in the blanket and closed her eyes. She did not want to get up. So much had happened, Suzuki was dead, the Phoenix had gone down with him. She remembered the big meeting with her own alliance in the community room. Her brother had warned her, but who exactly did he mean by trusting someone she didn't know? After all, the woman knew her entire alliance, she was sure that everyone would be loyal to her, after all, she had never done anything to her people except protect them. Or was there an alliance that had her hand in it? Maybe Wolf or Legends again? The black-haired woman sighed, covered her head with the blanket and grumbled annoyed. These thoughts drove her crazy. Who would be considered a traitor? Zorena sighed and tried to breathe calmly. Although she had slept long enough, she felt weakened. Summoning the Phoenix before her alliance to give them all the courage she needed had cost her strength. More than she had ever expected. Was it perhaps someone she trusted closely? Someone she might love? The thought of this made Zorena shudder. She rubbed her arms, cold surrounded her whole body and she started shaking heavily. What had she done wrong? Would Lucian betray her? He had good contact with all the alliances. Even those with whom Zorena was under stress. Why would Lucian do that to her? He loved her, didn't he? Shakily the new leader rose from her bed, her legs felt like lead. She became colder and colder and the young woman slowly walked to her maroon carved box. She was wearing only a white nightgown, no wonder she was freezing. She was about to take a vest out of the closet and put it on when a strong magic wave hit her. Zorena cried out in horror, fell to the floor and held herself together in pain. Flames surrounded the room and the black-haired woman started to get up in shock. The flames grew higher and higher and surrounded the entire room. The furniture was on fire, the carpet burned and the fire made its way to the woman. She coughed heavily from the smoke. Could no one hear her? She ran to the window, but just as she was about to open it, the flames spread around the window bars and shot up. The leader stumbled in shock and stopped as if frozen on the free round surface, which, strangely enough, was not covered by fire. Zorena quickly tried to use her magic to create some kind of protective spell, but her body was still much too weak for that. There was only a small ice-blue breeze, but it faded immediately. Just as Zorena was about to turn around to try to open the window again, she grabbed an icy hand, it seemed as if the air was squeezing her but Zorena couldn't see anyone in the room. A black pentagram appeared under Zorena's feet, the flames disappeared and Zorena screamed at the top of her lungs when she realized what was happening to her and she couldn't fight it.
Sin flinched when he heard a loud familiar cry. He had just been on his way to the arena with Lucian to train with him, but the scream had stopped them. None of the other alliance members were here at the moment. They were either on patrol or with their students. "That was Zorena's voice," Lucian shouted and ran down the hall as fast as he could to get to his wife's room. Sin followed Lucian and drew his sword. If anyone would harm Zorena, no matter who, he would kill that person. He had warned his sister not to trust everyone. He knew full well that there would be some traitors here. But who didn't know Sin either. All the master could think of was his concern for Zorena. What had happened and if she was okay. They stopped in front of the door and just as Sin reached out for the door handle Lucian held Sin's hand and shouted: "Wait..." The warrior looked at his student without understanding. All Zorena's brother wanted was to get to his sister, no matter how. No one would stand in his way. Not even Lucian. He drew his sword and looked angrily at Lucian. "Take your hand away... IMMEDIATELY," Sin called and pushed Lucian aside, put his hand on the doorknob and pressed down. He ripped open the door and what the two warriors saw took their breath away. Zorena stood in the middle of the room surrounded by black flames. Her hair danced gently with the black starlight playing around her. She no longer wore a white dress, but a night-black dress. Behind the woman, her phoenix fluttered, but it was no longer blue and icy, but had night-black feathers, a dark smoke surrounded it and its blood-red eyes seemed to pierce the warrior. Sin swallowed when he looked into his sister's blood-red eyes. Her gaze was cold and Sin took a few steps back. "Zorena," the warrior softly pronounced her name and put his sword away. He didn't want to seem like a danger to her. Her phoenix flapped its wings and didn't let Sin out of her sight. Lucian stepped into the flames and raised his hands a little to
