Collin sank down onto a couch. Kat put her head in her hands. Collin folded his hands, and bounced his legs.
“What happened?” asked James.
“The troll king, and queen. They were.. they... I didn’t...” stuttered Collin.
“The troll king and queen were the ones that Collin accidentally persuaded into giving us the money.” said Kat. “They wouldn’t take it back even after he tried to persuade them to take it. The people didn’t agree. They thought that we tampered with them on purpose, and they don’t agree to what the king and queen say.”
“I don’t really see what the matter is with that.” said Megdelia.
Collin shook his head.
“The troll people were thinking of rebellion.” said Katalia. James and Drake gasped. Everyone else was confused.
Seeing their confused faces, Drake offered an explanation.
“If the people rebel, and they disagree with the king and queen, they will take out their anger on us.” Drake said.
The girls sighed. They understood now. If the troll people rebelled, then they would most likely attack the fairies because of a simple mistake that had been tried to set right.
“So we have another diplomatic mission to do. Make sure that there is no war. And apologize to the trolls.” James said.
The others nodded. They knew how important this was.
“Well we have a bit of a advantage. For we have the elves, gnomes, and pixies on our side.” Kaliea pointed out.
“Yes, but this is our battle and we won’t bring in any other tribes unless it is necessary.” Katalia spoke.
“So when do we start?” Aralina questioned.
“Now.” Collin replied, “Simolia go into the library and read everything you can about Trolls and their lively hoods, customs, anything that would be of use. James, go with her. Megdelia, you sometimes deliver mail to them right?”
Megdelia nodded.
“Good so you know most of the layout. Kaliea could you find our uniforms, and make us some capes. Kat, break the news to your parents, quickly, but lightly. This might be a shock to them. Make sure that you are in a room, alone with them. And Aralina, you go to the greenhouse, and check the plants. I think that there might be some that can be used as medicine for wounded soldiers. We might have to use that.” Collin finished grimly.
“And what are you going to do, Collin?” asked James.
“I’m going to check on Darius. Just to make sure that he is still there. Drake, you come with me. Megdelia, since you are fast, bring the message to Hosily, Methuen, Jolent, and Nathentex. We might need their help, if things get worse. But under no conditions, is this to be known to anybody other than the members of OPF, and the king and queen.”
Everyone nodded, and went to do as Collin had ordered. Aralina flew quickly to the greenhouse, to do as she was bidden. As she did her job, she thought of how far she had come since she left her home. She had new friends, and a new home, and she would do everything that she could to keep it all safe.
And here this story ends at the brink of war with the formation of our most powerful defenders- the Order of the Protection of Fantalasia.
