to the Word of God, we will be wasting our breath.

And ye shall take a bunch of hyssop, and dip it in the blood that is in the bason, and strike the lintel and the two side posts with the blood that is in the bason: and none of you shall go out at the door of his house until the morning. For the Lord will pass through to smite the Egyptians; and when he seeth the blood upon the lintel, and on the two side posts, the Lord will pass over the door, and will not suffer the destroyer to come in unto your houses to smite you (Exodus 12:22,23).

If the Israelites had set foot outside their homes that Passover night, they would have perished with the blood right in front of them!

God told them to stay inside. If the Israelites had disobeyed His instructions and crossed their thresholds, the blood would not have covered them. Even though the Israelites believed what God said, if they didn't follow His instruction to them, the blood could not keep them from harm.

Through faith, he [Moses] kept the Passover, and the sprinkling of blood, lest he that destroyed the firstborn should touch them (Hebrews 11:28).

Our inheritance, by faith, includes sprinkling the blood of Jesus. As believers, we "sprinkle the blood" in obedience because we know that the power of the blood overcomes all the works of the devil.

The high priests of the Old Testament offered blood sacrifices daily for the people. As New Testament believers, we are to apply the blood of Jesus daily as our plea for ourselves, our children, our loved ones, our neighbors and all our possessions!

Parents, every day at the breakfast table, before your kids go out into the world, lay your hands on their heads and plead the blood—the protecting blood of the Lamb of God—over them.

As a child, every day before I went off to school, my mama laid her hands on my head, saying, "God, in the name of Jesus, before my baby boy leaves this house today, I plead the blood of Jesus Christ of Nazareth over him!"

Take this prayer and pray it over our righteous seed every day of their young lives.

"Lord God, I plead the blood of Jesus Christ, through my covenant relationship with you, over young lives right now. By your mighty power, move them out of harm's way. Deter everything that would affect their lives. Protect them and raise a hedge of protection over them now, in the name of Jesus.

"Satan, you have no right to these children; they are covered by the blood of Jesus. In the name of Jesus, I break your power. I plead the blood of the Lamb, and every yoke of bondage is broken."

THE WORD

And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up (Deuteronomy 6:6,7).

The Bible is a great reservoir of the power of God. Every time you feed your spirit on the Word of God it grows stronger.

It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life (John 6:63).

So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God (Romans 10:17).

Victory over the world, the flesh and the devil comes through the Word, for it is the most tangible and powerful weapon God has given us in our spiritual arsenal.

Who through faith subdued kingdoms,

wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions, quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, waxed valiant in fight, turned to flight the armies of the aliens (Hebrews 11:33,34).

The devil cannot penetrate the Word of God spoken in faith. When we confess what the Word says, we unlock the door of our faith.

SPEAK WORDS OF FAITH

O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh. (Matthew 12:34).

If your heart is filled with the Word of God. . . if you are diligently standing in faith on what God's Word says, then you will speak words of faith and not doubt, life and not death, victory and not defeat.

THE NAME OF JESUS

And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; they shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover (Mark 16:17,18).

God revealed His character to us through His many names: Jehovah-Rohi, the Lord is my shepherd; Jehovah Shammah, the Lord is ever present; Jehovah Shalom, the Lord is my peace; Jehovah Rophe, the Lord heals, to list a few.

In the New Testament, Jesus fulfilled all the names of God. His glorious name preserves us from the evil one and is with us always, bringing victory, healing, peace, holiness and righteousness.

The Bible tells us that Jesus was the Word made flesh. Jesus has done everything He is ever going to do about the works of the devil—now it is up to you.

Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you (James 4:7).

Resist the devil through the power of the name of Jesus, and he will run from your home in absolute terror.

Whatever you are believing for the children you love, stand in faith on what the Word of God says about them. Start speaking the life-giving Word of God into their spirits and into their lives.

And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony (Revelation 12:11a).

The devil can't read your mind. Words of life, victory and deliverance are going to have to come from
