TO SHORTEN
ABBREVIATE, CUT SHORT
Have you ever been in a state of where you wanted to do something and you did not want to finish it right away? How many times have we done this thing that we call taking a short cut and breaking it in half? We must rid ourselves of trying to take short cuts in life and taking this not all the way to the max. I know that I am a master at trying to take things and make it shorter than what it is. Let’s look at an example that I will use: The kitchen, when we go in to cook a meal and try to make it in a hurry. How many times have you taken short cuts in that state? I take them all the time and what happens in my case is that not only do I take those short cuts but I take short cuts in life as well and it really hurts me in the long run. We have all taken those short cuts in life and ended up on the wrong side of the playing field. I know that I am still trying to rebound from those short cuts that I have taken. We think that we are getting away with trying to make things easier and better when all that we are doing is putting a false witness to those that are around us and those that watch us as we prepare these things in life and in the kitchen. I don’t like to take short cuts but at times it is real convenient and quick. But the thing is that when you take this cut you are not getting the best of the best of what you have been taught in how to prepare this meal and this meal of life. I think that I said something. Life, that is all that we are doing as we go in the kitchen to prepare a meal is that not only are we doing that, but we are too preparing our lives as well for a feast. It may not sound good now but if you can be honest with yourself, you can see that every day that you wake up you are preparing to go out and take on the oven of the world. There are degrees of things that we have to deal with as we move from here to there. So look at life as you look at the kitchen when you fix a meal to eat or fixing a feast for others to feast on. So now that you know that we can not cheat life and go on trying to cut it short to the point of getting ahead. We have to crawl before we can walk. I’m gonna give you three points and then we are gonna be up out of here and don’t forget your shout que and then put in your prayer pipe and smoke it. First thing is that in order to get a real good well done steak or in this case a well done way of life is that we have to first choose the best. Then when you choose the best, you have to prepare a good marinade so that you can get a good taste of the meat or a good taste of life. Then lastly, we have to know how to prepare it and to put in the oven for the approximate time and temp. So that is my word for someone today is that in order to get through life successfully Is that we must not abbreviate our lives. We have to take our time and go with the flow. You know we are like a piece of chicken in a frying pan, it has to take it’s time to cook, and that is what we have to do is take out time and go through life until we are sure that we have been seasoned right and cooked right and prepared correctly.
