creative force. We are creators of our personal reality because we are each small portions of God. Every moment is created not only by our consensus but also by our very hands. We are God’s co-creators and we participate in the universe’s unfolding.
To understand the paradox is to understand the true nature of reality. The universe is not unfolding according to a set of predetermined and immutable laws the way that science would have it. The universe is everything imaginable stacked one upon the other in an infinite and random manner; anything is possible for this very reason. It is up to us to decide what will come next because anything is possible (read as, we have free will). It is the existence of the paradox that allows it to be so.
Isn’t it odd that by starting from the beginning the concepts that result are cohesive and its scope seems to include the most difficult topics that have stumped our leading thinkers throughout the ages? Suddenly consciousness has a preferred position in the order of things and life itself becomes a necessity rather than a chance occurrence. Couple that with the new twist on the properties of the present and the intrinsic nature of the paradox and the universe begins to make ultimate sense.
Our efforts at rational thought make one essential miscalculation. We begin from the premise that the universe is real and certainly not an illusion. In order to do so we have had to assume that it is God who is the illusion. We do not come right out and say so, of course, but since none of our scientific theories include the Divine in any way it is an inferred part of our cultural belief. It is therefore an interesting fact, however misleading it may be, that over ninety percent of the world’s population believes in a higher power.

Summary
The first moment of creation mirrors the moment before it when the monopole and the nopole differentiated out of the vast sameness that is All. The present is the monopole and the paradox is the nopole made manifest. But the monopole and nopole are not separate entities apart from God; rather, they are immersed within God and are indistinct. It is only our point of view as observers inside the universe that require their recognition at all. In the same way, the present and the paradox are not separate but united. This forced unity creates the illusion of plurality and it is what completes the logical trinity that results in a perfect replica of the moment before (the instant before the universe came into being). All is the ultimate force of unity even before the universe existed, the co-existence of the present and the paradox reinforces that very same idea – we are all one! It is the need to use the word ‘we’ that points to the concept of plurality. We might in essence all be one, but what we experience is separation. We all seem to be alone. (Odd that the word alone consists of the words ‘all’ and ‘one’…)
It is the Divine Archetype that runs the show and all concepts that follow must adhere to its precepts. That God is aware and even conscious is pretty much a given. Is it any wonder that the succession of presents should also require awareness as a prerequisite? What purpose would the movement of present to present have if it were not for the awareness of its participants? Awareness is the key concept because there would be absolutely no point in creating this universe of illusion without something to delude with it. We are that something , along with every other thing in the universe. To make that claim we must truly understand that all things are God in a state of selective amnesia. We have forgotten our true heritage, as was the Divine Intention from the outset.
So far, with only a single instant having transpired, the universe has been a static entity. The unity of the present and the paradox is very much complete and whole unto itself. Even if it were to contain every conflicting concept we could imagine (plurality), in the first instant it would all be there together in perfect harmony. This is because there is only one instant and it has not as yet moved on.
In the next chapter we shall look at what happens when it does.

Throughout the cosmos the creative force
Imparts a speed and a course.
All that is is infused this way;
All are here and all must play.
Between the rigid forms, the constant flow
Of now in creation goes
Unnoticed, taken for granted,
By what’s known it’s supplanted.
The things we know: objects, thoughts, words, feelings,
Hides things unknown; by virtue of our finite dealings.
The infinite moments of creation
In the blink of an eye is not a sensation,
For how many winks in a season of eights,
And what number of flutters has pi.
The Creative Impulse lies therein;
A unique speed on course to within.
Infinity dances circles around forms,
Parity assures reality conforms
To the constant progression of nows;
The cosmic scales take care of the whys and hows.
With what detail can a form be known,
There is no end zone.
In the end it’s all smoke and mirrors.
Through the infinite regression of flavors,
Nothing is known.
From which is grown
The next moment of now.
