I was a nervous wreck as soon as I had heard. I was starting a new school in Birmingham. I had to leave all my school friends back home-in New Castle. New friends, new home, new school and new me. Because no one knew me at this new school mum let me change my looks. She gave me a load of money to go out shopping on my own. I mean I can’t believe it ME shopping on my own, WOW mum had really changed.
4 lovely free time hours later, I walked through the door and saw mum, Sophie and Mikey (Sophie’s dad) laying there on the couch smooching... Obviously not Sophie she was playing with her dolls. But the fact that mum was kissing Mikey on the couch whilst she was married to Richard, my dad, was really upsetting to see, even though mum and Richard didn’t get along and they were getting a divorce she could at least wait till the divorce!. I ran upstairs as if I was a giant stomping on the ground and big tears going SPLASH SPLASH on the floor. I jumped on my bed. I couldn’t think straight all I could hear was the sound of mum’s footsteps.

I was eating breakfast in the kitchen when suddenly Mikey walks in. It falls silent for about 10minutes then Sophie had to come a ruin it. Mum walked in with Sophie in her arms and she jumped on mike yelling Daddy! I dropped my spoon in my cereal bowl and stormed off to the door quickly to walk to school with Clara. She was my friend. It was my last day at high lane green and I wanted it to last long because I knew I would get picked up by the baboon-Mikey. That’s what I called him, baboon.
“GOOD BYE ELLIE!!!” it was my class mates doing a goodbye party for me. I was actually really surprised because I’d only told Clarisa that I was moving but mostly because she was my only friend so I was shocked they did this. The day went surprisingly fast. When it was nearly lunch, Mrs. Hingginbottm called to her office I was trembling, what did she want? Was it something I did? NO,
“Ummm.... I want to know why exactly you are leaving I mean is there a particularly reason with the school or a home issue?” look at her sticking her nose into everything getting all up in my business. I was about to give her a whole load of babushka,
“Mrs.... urghhh...Louise has had an accident the ambulance is on its way now and so is his mum!” Clarisa was very helpful she wasn’t telling the truth for once I was really shocked she has done very well. I took my chances and ran me and Clarisa snuck out of school for the first time ever. We went shopping for my new school look. We decided to go for the ‘I was popular and sexy back at my old school look.’ It turned out really well I bought, an it’s all about me jumper, about 5 pairs of shoes, 2 converses, 1 pair of high heels-black of course, new trainers (really cute) and lastly the new pant-shoes all in one. As well as that, I bought a baseball jacket and hat. On the same day, I got a whole load of makeup and I went hair dresser trimmed my slit ends had my hair softened and shiny then died it... BLACK I know your thinking black is a natural colour but my hair used to be blonde and my mum hates black-so does mike. Where did I get all this money you say? Well it wasn’t hard mike, when he was driving me to school, had his credit card and debut card on the back seat next to me and the pin for both of them next on a piece of paper. What an idiot I don’t know what mum sees in this guy?

“Ellie wake up moving day, WHAT ON EARTH HAVE YOU DONE TO YOUR HAIR!?” I woke up as soon as I heard that. The whole day mike had been talking to me in a weird sort of way (not that I am bothered anyway) and mum hadn’t even talked to me. If she wanted me to do something I wouldn’t do it because she would ask mike to tell me and I would just say to him,
“I don’t take rules from strangers only my dad and mum!” he’d just walk away sulking and hunching his back like an old man-which he is.
We arrived, the new house was certainly bigger, there were allot of kids playing or as they say ‘chill axing’ the house had three floors and a little game room down stairs were the basement was suppose to be. The kitchen could fit a huge amount of people in it were as at the old house you could fit only three! I walked in the back garden and saw a huge fence going all the way round the large garden. Our old house had a very small garden with no fence so people next door could come in our garden whenever they liked. When I opened the back fence door, there was a little path way mad of mud and grass. I followed it. That was a waste of my time it was just a bunch of wood and big oak trees.
“ELLIE! Come here, ELLIE where are you? Young lady get here now!” Mike sounded too angry so I ran onwards to follow the path. Because I was looking back to see if they were coming, I didn’t realise there was a boy sat down and I tripped over him. I looked up and there was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen. He was tall and tanned, Blondie-brown hair, light blue eyes as if the sky was in his eyes, he was wearing, summer three quarter shorts- blue and white, and a plain white t-shirt.
“Hi I’m jack um.... sorry I got in the way,” I turned around to see if he was talking to me and he was!
“Hi... um it’s not your fault I wasn’t looking were I was going........... Oh by the way my name’s Ellie,” he gave me a cheeky smile then looked away quickly. He sat down on a log, I joined him happily. He asked where I’d been running to all I could say was I don’t know where id been running to I just wanted to escape my step-dad mike.
“Umm so you just moved in with your mum, your step-dad and little sister your mum was angry at you so you decided to open your new fence gate, run for it as if you knew where you were going?” I kept quiet and just nodded; this guy could read me inside out. I eventually heard mike calling my name but this time closer,
“Oh no that’s him sorry I’ve got to run and hide somewhere,” he offered to run with me since he had nothing better to do I followed him to another log of trees.
“He won’t find us here it’s ok now,” his voice was like an angel talking to me or more like whispering. There was the baboon again we hid in a bush quickly and we where there for a while because he got a phone call,
“Hello.......no...... Somewhere..... Can’t find her.....won’t leave till.......ok... promise....sweetheart....love you....!” he was still there after the phone call,
“Come on move you idiot,” I whispered loudly, jack told me to shush then but his hands on my mouth. They tasted like wood and beetles.
After about an hour sat on the log, me and jack eventually ran out of things to talk about, we sat there looking at each other, then after a few minutes, I found him leaning inwards to me, he put his hands on my cheek as I leaned in with him, our lips were like 3 seconds away from each other’s then BOOM!,
“JACK, you didn’t come to meet me at the chippie place why!?” a tall figure of a girl was walking towards us, Jack moved away quickly and pretended to laugh at one of my ‘jokes’ she got closer and closer her voice got louder and louder it was an irritating noise.
“Jennifer I umm was on my way then err...Ellie tripped needed a place to hide from her step-dad, mike so I helped her,” he said trebling, he was pointing at me as if I was just some sort of weird creature in front of him. She stared at me head to toe the saw me looking at jack like an actual weirdo. She went to sit next to him but there wasn’t room so she just sprung herself on and made me fall straight off the edge. I felt like springing her to Australia somewhere far away. We all sat there in silence just laughing nervously, and by all I mean me...

“Why haven’t you got your uniform on honey?” I sat there and just daydreamed about jack all day; I was starting my new school today, Also I was supposed to be wearing my new uniform but I decided to wear my own clothes on the first day and act as if I didn’t have a uniform yet. Mum didn’t seem to mind but mike had a big fuss today and made it quite clear that he wasn’t driving me looking like a complete idiot. I had a tight purple vest top on with some white skinny jeans and a purple streak in my hair. Also I was wearing my black and white converse with a Pauls Boutique bag my new one. I put allot of makeup on but mum helped me look really nice she suggested I put a fake tan on. Because the hairy baboon wouldn’t drive me to school, I said I would walk. I stormed out the house and slammed the back door. I wanted to go jacks lane (the path way that’s what I called it) to see if he was there. I know if I went there I would be late for school but, the plan was to not go school I would ask jack to pass today and hang with me. YES, he was here sat on the log. Our log. He was looking back to see if I was coming. As soon as I arrived he stood up and started grinning. I walked towards him smiling,
“You waited here all this while just to see me?” he nodded cheekily. He told me he was going same school as me so walked with me there.

We arrived into school and everyone was just looking at me and whispering about me some of them I heard and they were pretty harsh. I walked into classroom with jack everyone at the door was just looking at me as if I had something on my head. Jack went his own way I tried to follow him and sit on the seat next to him but he just put his leg up to stop me sitting there so I decided to sit on the chair on the other side of him but he put his bag and coat there as well. It made me feel a bit uncomfortable so I just went and sat at the chair right at the back. It was cold and smelly at the back but what could I do?
