Prologue

How could I ever return to the life I had been living before. I looked at everything and everyone that walked by me on the crowded street. Looking up at the tall buildings, I was mesmerized. I had never stepped foot into the large cities that seemed to be everywhere. I had spent my life, all twenty years of it, in the forest. With my pack. I stopped walking as I felt a light touch on my mind as someone tried reading my thoughts. I looked around, panicked.

If they had found me I was definitely dead. My eyes scanned everyone, but no one seemed to be staring directly at me. I turned on my heel and kept walking down the sidewalk. My heart was racing in my chest. When I rounded the corner I leaned up against the wall and tried to catch my breath. I mentally slapped myself, 'How are you going to function in the city if your panicking every two minutes?' My wolf screamed at me. I looked around again, ignoring my wolf as she paced back and forth inside of me. 'We should have stayed in the woods.' She said as she faded into the darkness.

Closing my eyes and taking a deep breath I started walking again. I would get away from them. They would never find me, especially in such a large city. I stumbled as my eyesight became blurry and someone bumped into me making me fall into an alley. I tried getting to my feet but I couldn't seem to get my legs to work, 'Come on Megara, you have to get up' my wolf whined as I looked in front of me and there stood a man. With a sinister grin he lifted me into his arms and walked half way down the alley before opening a door and throwing me in. I flailed in the air before I landed on the concrete floor. With a groan I looked up and saw the door closing, "No I didn't escape my pack just to be caught by you." I yelled and stood.

I wasn't quick enough and the door slammed closed. I took a deep breath and tried to stay calm. I was in total darkness, without a clue as to where I was exactly when I heard something growling low in its throat. I looked around even though I couldn't see anything. When out of nowhere two red orbs appeared. I screamed at the top of my lungs and ran towards where the door was. I didn't reach it on my own. The owner of those red eyes slammed me into it making the door rattle. I couldn't find enough courage inside of me to shift into my wolf as I was dragged away from the door by my shoulder. I could feel blood running down my shoulder as it growled and chomped down harder. I screamed again at the pain. I was loosing consciousness fast when the door was blown of its hinges. I closed my eyes, I was getting weaker I could feel it as I passed out from loosing too much blood.

Chapter 1

There was one thing I knew when I opened my eyes and that was that I was laying in an extremely large bed. 'How did I get here?' Nothing was familiar. My eyes shifted around the opulent room when the door suddenly burst open. I jumped and scooted towards the farthest corner of the bed away from the door.

A man stood there framed in the doorway. When he stepped into the room I gasped. He had dark hair with electric blue highlights, his skin was a light tan. What held my gaze though was his eyes. So gold and impossible for a human to posses.

"What's your name?" He asked me as he came closer towards the bed his voice making sparks of electricity race through my body, so sinful it was, a whisper in the ear wasn't as seductive as his voice. I couldn't help but stare at him.

"My name is Megara." I said hesitantly trying not to show him how much his voice had affected me, because I would be lying if I didn't admit to myself than he had made me feel... Loved? 'Snap out of it Meg, he's nothing.' My wolf growled but I could tell that she wanted him like I wanted him.

He continued staring at me, before he sighed almost reverently, "Megara." Making me frown. Was he some kind of pervert?

"What's yours?" I asked him shifting on the bed as he continued to stare at me as if I were the most beautiful thing he had ever seen.

"Liam." He replied his eyes never leaving mines as he stepped closer.

"How did I get here?" I asked him, watching him with an eagle eye as he took another step forward.

"We brought you here." He said with a slight shrug.

"We?" I said concerned because there were more people here than just him, but who was I kidding like I would have been able to take down Liam. He was way bigger than I was and I'd bet my life on the fact that he was all muscle.

"My pack." He replied finally looking away for the first time since he'd walked into the room, "You'll meet them soon."

"Why did you bring me here?" I asked him as he sat at the edge of the bed making me nervous.

"To keep you safe and alive." Liam said without looking at me.

I remembered my shoulder and looked at it. It was wrapped in gauze with blood already beginning to seep through, "Thank you." I whispered looking away from my shoulder and looking down at my hands.

"Anytime." He said as three men appeared in the doorway, "Megara, this is my pack, Gabriel, Grant and Skye.

"Hi." I said shyly as I stared at all of them. They were all sinfully gorgeous.

"Hey." The one that had been introduced as Skye said.

I nearly drooled, his voice was sinfully soft, 'Nothing compared to Liams sex infused voice' I thought to myself 'Liams voice was, unlike anything, seductive.' Skyes eyes were an electric blue that shone with sincere happiness as he looked me over. His hair a golden brown looked so soft. 'I would love to feel his hair.' As soon as the thought was uttered in my mind he stepped forward and sat on the bed inclining his head towards me.

I couldn't help the tremor in my hand as I touched his hair. His muscles rippled as he leaned closer, "Skye is extremely taken with you." Liam said to me as he watched Skye continue to lean into my hand.

Grant stared at me with his lavender eyes, his hair the same golden brown as Skyes, "Hi." He said his voice just as sinful as Skyes. I stared at them all and noticed that they all carried the same tattoo on their arms. My birthmark was the shape of the All Seeing Eye and there on their arms was an All Seeing Eye, plainly tattooed on their arm and they all seemed extremely proud of them. I looked over at Gabriel and saw the adoration on his face as he stared at me with his turquoise eyes that shone in the dimly lit room. His hair a deep mahogany.

"How did you find me?" I asked Liam curiously. The last thing I remembered was getting attacked and the door swinging wide open. Then nothing. My mind was a complete blank.

"Skye found you on his way home." Liam said to me as they all continued to stare at me. It was kind of unnerving having all those eyes on you at once.

"Oh." I said softly still caressing Skyes hair, for some reason I couldn't seem to help my self. I loved the feel of its silkiness. Liam stared at me like I had come out of one of his wet dreams, "So where exactly am I?"

"Still in the city." Grant said vaguely enough that I frowned and stopped touching Skye.

"Hmm." I hummed and shifted on the bed again before standing up and walking over to a window. I pulled back the curtains and there below me was Times Square. I'd walked by there minutes before being attacked. I was completely and utterly shocked.

"Megara, what pack do you belong to?" Liam asked me and I looked over at him. The fear that they were somehow part of them made me freeze in panic. Liam took a step towards me and I scrambled back hitting the glass, 'Nice job Megara, you cornered yourself.'

"Why do you want to know?" I asked them as I pressed back against the window frame, "What pack do you belong to?" I asked back. I wasn't going to say anything more until they told me what pack they belonged too. If there was some chance that they did belong to my pack then I wouldn't hesitate to jump out of the window.

I watched Liam as he glanced at the rest of the guys before sighing, "We're part of the Shadow Pack." He said hesitantly making me look away in relief. They didn't belong to my pack.

"I'm a member of the Night Stalkers." I said so low that I wondered if they even heard me when none of them said anything.

"You're the rogue?" Liam asked me in a shocked tone making me smile.

"Is that what they're calling me?" I said a bit amused, most wolves who saw me wouldn't think I'd be much of a threat to be even considered a rogue. Why would they? I wasn't that impressive. At least that's my thought. Most would say I rivaled the fairy princess's in story books. My eyes a bright, almost blinding at times, turquoise with lines of silver and flecks of gold. I had cut my dark hair every chance I had gotten but before I'd left the pack it had been nearly to my knees, now it barely reached mid-back. My alabaster skin glowed at night. It had made me self conscious when I was younger.

"Well, yeah. They're asking around for a 'young rogue' who went 'missing' about four days ago." Gabriel said as he walked closer his eyes falling to my birthmark. I stared into his eyes and watched as shock replaced the adoration. He reached out so suddenly for my arm that I screamed. He ignored my scream and hauled me forward making Liam growl, "Liam, did you see this?"

Liam walked forward and grabbed a hold of Gabriel, pushing him away from me. I looked up at him with wide eyes. I could feel tears pricking the backs of my eyes as I held them in. I really needed to relax, "Can I see?" He asked me softly. I blinked up at him uncertainly.

Slowly I nodded and watched as he leaned forward and looked at my birthmark before his eyes lifted up in shock and he stared at me, "What?" I said, frowning at him and looking at the rest of the guys as
