She was sitting in her usual seat, reading the same book, basically a normal day, right? Wrong.
She looks up when He walks into the room. Everyone can see the light in her eyes every time she looks at him. Everyone, but him.
Their eyes meet for a brief second. He looks away first. The feeling of neglect strikes her hard in the chest. Everyone can see the pain in her eyes. Everyone, but him.
During class, she decides to write how she feels. She pours her heart out. She was going to give it him.
She sees him after school. She smiles slowly before making her way towards him. But, she didn't get the opportunity to even say his name.
She stops. Unable to move as she sees the barrel of a pistol. It isn't pointing at her, though. It was aimed at Him.
Quickly, she begins to run as fast as she can. She’s able to throw herself in front of him as the gun is fired.
The bullet penetrates her heart. A tear slides down her cheek as her knees hit the ground. The gunman turns and runs, seeing as he had missed his target.
She takes in a ragged breath as the note slips from her fingers. She feels… nothing. Finally, her knees buckle and she falls completely to the ground.
She can no longer hear anything. Yet, she can see everything. She watches as He screams for help. At least, she thought that was what he was doing. It wouldn't matter anyway…
She blinks one more time before her heart stops beating. He was the last thing she saw.
When He returned home that night, he slowly walked to his room. He shut the door and slid to the floor. He unfolds the note She had dropped and begins to read.
Tears stain his cheeks as his eyes go over the paper. After reading the note, he re-reads it, again and again. He screams as he pounds his fist into the floor repeatedly.
How could he be so clueless?! She loved Him…
… He didn't even know Her Name…
