Your not sick are you?” Adam asked scooting away from her a little. I nudged him and thought ’Give her a break she had that power thing after her and then she had to fly.’ He ignored my stare and we both continued to look at her. Giving up she sighed and laid back down. “Ok….well are you going to keep watch for me?” I asked him sincerely. “Fine, I’ll do it for you, but just saying you owe me!” “Whatever.” I brought back up my invisibility water shield, I put in over me and Adam and we walked out of our room. I used wind to blow their room key under the door and into my hand. We got in and went right to their bags. I disregarded the ones with clothes and was left with only one bag left. It was filled with books, filled with spells and potions. Before I could really get into it Thomas woke up. Slowly he made his way to his bags and got ready. He then woke Jacob up and he too got ready. Once done and ready to go he went for his door, probably on his way to us. I froze them where they were and silently sneaked out of the room, with Adam right behind me. When we got back in I climbed back into bed. “How did you do that?” He asked. “Sorcery books now he’s coming so get back in bed!” I whispered to him then closed my eyes just as Thomas walked in through the door. He turned on the lights and screamed “Come on guys wake up!” We all jumped out of bed and got ready for training. Jacob pulled me and Adam aside and talked to us. “You guys are going to be starting at level 1 but that’s ok I know you will probably evolve quickly. We only have a month here so you are going to have to learn fast.” Then he added Clara into the conversation. “This is the only time we are going to be taking you there on a kind of field trip. So ready or not here we go!” He said with enthusiasm and walked us out of the hotel and stood there. Jacob made a circle of magic around us and we were teleported to the new training arena. We still had our weapons, but once we got there I saw a sign that had all of the different levels of the training. Level one was fist fighting, no weapons no powers. I sighed and looked at Adam and showed him the sign. “McKenzie, Adam you can go in you will have to be by yourselves the next time you come, meet us back at the hotel.” I nodded and Adam led me to a door that was marked Level 1. We walked into a lit room that looked like a regular gym. Our instructor walked up to us and introduced himself. “Hello my name is Kyle. You will be doing a series of tests in here to pass onto Level two. The first one you have to fight against a dummy, it’s kinda like a robot but made of a softer material. Then you have to go against one of the fighters that are assigned to the arena. Then lastly you will go against me. You have to go one at a time and you have to do each test over and over again until you win. Oh, and you can not change levels without your partner. Any questions?” He said with a smile on his face. It was overwhelming. “Ok, go through these doors and get dressed and ready for your first day!” We walked through the doors. One was for girls and one for boys. Once I got in I was bombarded with people. After exactly a minute they left me and I was left in sweat pants, a workout shirt, and a ponytail. I walked out and saw Adam waiting for me in his workout clothes. “Ok, we will start by having you go against each other. Now since you still have your defense powers that everyone has you won’t feel any pain so go for it.” He stepped to the side of the mat leaving Adam and me staring at each other. I shrugged and threw a punch aimed for his nose. He caught my fist mid-swing then grabbed my wrist and flipped me on my back. “Have I ever told you how much you suck?” I said as I got back up and put up my fists again. This time he tried to punch me. I dodged it and punch him in the face. As he got hit and went to hit me back I flipped backwards and landed at a safe distance away from him. He looked at me in shock, but ran over and tried to hit me again. I continuously dodged and waited for the right moment then I would hit him. Eventually Adam had a black eye and I was sweaty. Adam kept getting angrier and angrier, but as I was getting cocky and swung my leg at his ankle and knocked him over. As I stood over him and smirked he took his legs and kicked me hard enough to fall. Kyle walked out and broke us up. “Ok, you guys are at a good start. We can pick up tomorrow good-bye kids.” He smiled and exited the room. Adam pulled himself off the floor then helped me up. “Good job!” I told Adam with a smile and my hand up expecting a high five. “Yeah I know I was good.” He said as he stared at my hand with a blank expression and walked out. I sighed and followed him outside. Once we are outside of the room I teleported us back to our hotel room.
