Now there was something worth talking about, because this is where our hate for Kevin and Vincent comes in.
Daniel Coke(Vincent's dad), Harrieta Josephs (Kevin's mom) and my Dad Finley Hoffman has been best friends since high school. They became friends with Marc Marshall (Leya's dad) in college since they were roommates. My mom and Peony became the best of friends in college where they met our dads. And as the years went by their little circle enlarged with Daniel marrying Cheryl Franis, Harrieta marrying JackRandall and some time after the four women found themselves pregnant in the same time. They had a booming baby shower and friendships were strengthened for life.
"Hi Kris, hi Vin." Peony smiled sweetly at us. "What can I do for you guys?"
"Not us me." I corrected "I...... Is it possible that I could change and do History with Mrs. Coleman? I'm desperate." I begged.
"Ahh...so I see you've heard." She sighed then and the light in my life went out. "I guessed this would happen and I told your dad to find some other way but he was very adamant about it. Sorry honey I couldn't change his mind." She came around then and gave me a tight hug and I buried my face into her neck wishing that I could just disappear.
I loved Cheryl, Vincent's mom, She is a bubbly person. The minute you're in the room she will have you laughing till you leave the house. Though most people say that accountants are very stuck up, she wasn't. Vincent was nothing like her in my opinion because though she was a bit teasing and rambunctious, she was caring and a softy at heart.
There was one thing I didn't tell you, was that my dad happens to be the President of the school board and that Daniel was the Chairman. Two best friends working ever so hard again to make Vincent and me become friends. They keep wondering where they went wrong. Last year they tried to set us up on a blind date which was a disaster to put it mildly.
"But mom can be my tutor." I said brightly pulling away.
"Nope. Your mom is with him a hundred percent." she sigh sadly
"Hey I'm not so bad. I'm a great person to be around." Vincent grinned
"Ugh. I hate them sometimes." I groaned hugging Peony tighter and burying my face into her neck once again.
"Hey what's wrong?" I heard Leya walked in. We always met in her mom's office before actually going to lunch. I could tell she was seriously concerned by the sound of her voice.
"I'm gonna be her history tutor." I heard Vincent proudly announced.
"What?! But that can't be possible." She shrieked
"Unfortunately, it is true. And my parents agreed to it." I moaned from where I stood with my face still buried in her mom's neck.
"What! Oh no!" she moaned before I felt her arms around me. Without shifting my face I placed on hand around her not letting go of her mom."
"Don't worry everything will be ok. It's gotta be." Leya encouraged kissing my hair then resting her head against mine.
"Hey, I'm not that bad. I can behave. I promise I won't tease or anything." Vincent sounded a bit frustrated that none of us seem to be giving him the benefit of the doubt. "Ok, I'll join in the hug then." He sighed as if he really need it too but neither Leya or me would have it.
"Oh no you don't!" Both of us chorused.
"You are not about to ruin a good hug like you ruin everything for me." I said angrily.
Mrs. Marshall pushed us into her inner office where she would have her private meetings, and closed the door.
"I ruin everything?" He asked shocked as if he didn't know.
"Yes you did. On my fifth birthday, on New years eve when we were nine years old and the list goes on." I huffed
"Wow you really do keep everything inside." was all he said. No I'm sorry and I'll try to do better nothing that would make me want to trust him. Not that I would.
"Ugh!! You are hopeless, This is hopeless. You don't know anything about behaving proper." I groaned into my hands as I ran them frustratingly down my face. "Fine we'll have the tutoring session that seem to make our parents happy. The sooner it's over the sooner I can get on with my life." I grumbled as tears filled my eyes and I turned away leaving the office.

Vincent's POV
I stood there unable to move. I just watched Kristal leave the room, with tears in her eyes. I couldn't remember when I'd ever seen her cry. I could see that she had been trying to hide it, but the brightening of her beautiful emerald eyes was enough to make me want to kick my self. Is it so bad that I'll be her tutor? Am I? But then, when did I ever made her life one worth living around me.
"Great you've made her cry. How stupid can you get?" I mumbled to myself, walking out to the main office.
"Don't you think its about time that you told her how you feel?" Peony asked not looking up from her work by the computer.
I had totally forgotten where I was standing when I'd spoken to myself. "What are you talking about Mrs. Marshall?" I asked innocently putting on the most charming smile that seem to get people to do whatever I wanted.
"Don't play dumb with me boy. I've known you kids from babies. You've been hiding it for some time and you need to tell her how you really feel." She looked up at me with tender eyes. "And you can start by being less of the annoying guy and show her the charmer for once. You use it when you want to have your way now use it when you need it most."
She had a point, I thought to myself back tracking on all the times I'd been a total pain in the neck, cheating in a games and playing horrible pranks. Cheating now that's my thing, though I've never used it while playing chess, or my studies. I believe in honest work. It may be fun in games but never fun when you've cheated but unable to used the actual knowledge later. I sighed "Ain't this a mess."
"Well it's about time you fix it."
I walked quietly out the door of the office, making my way to the lunch room. I really need to fix all this because I would hate to be around me at all if I thought of myself as annoying. I entered, looking around at first not knowing what or who I was looking for before I heard my name being called by my mates.
Soon after collecting my lunch I started for my table but spot the familiar redhead of Kristal. I sat with the guys, staring at her the whole time. I watched as she chat with Leya laughing about something, and I could imagine her eyes which seems to grow brighter each time she laughed or smiled. I wish I could make her smile like that, I thought. I was watching her so keenly that it wasn't until I felt something hitting me in the head that I realized that Jason was talking to me. Jason was one of the other two guys I hang with other than Kevin who I grew up with.
"What?" I asked still totally not interested in whatever they were talking about.
"You didn't hear a thing I said did you?" Jason shook his head. "Man you've become hopeless. Man, when are you going to talk to her? If you want her just go." he said before pushing me from my seat beside him. I sighed then got up, which gained cheers from Kevin and Devan.
I walked quietly over towards her but turned half way there and made my way to my next class Algebra. I could hear groans from the guys as I left. I would see her later for our first tutoring session at her house. I can talk to her then I thought to myself. "Yeah later." I whispered.
Kristal's POV
"Why is Vincent staring at you?" Leya asked glancing quickly at the table where he sat, for the third time. "Did something happen before I came into my mom's office?"
"Is he? I had no clue he was looking and don't why he would be looking at me. Unless it was his next plan to do something annoying." I huffed.
"Did something..."
"No, nothing happen. Except for me asking if I could have someone else tutor me." I sigh miserably. "No luck there. It seems like this is gang up on Krissy day."
" IDTS. He looks like he's admiring you or something." a small smile started peeking out and I knew for sure I wasn't going to love what was coming out of Leya's mouth next.
"Le what are you thinking." I frowned nervously
"Nothing."
"Yeah right I can see the reels spinning in that evil little head of yours. C'mon spit it out."
"Maybe he likes you. Now that I think about it, they say that guys have a weird way of showing how they feel."
"Leyana you're scaring me." I twisted my fingers nervously under the table.
"C'mon. As scary as it sounds I think it would be cute if he liked you. The bad boy/enemy falling for the good girl." she sighed in the most girly way possible.
"Have you been reading those romance novels again?" I asked curiously.
She grinned and pull out the latest book in her romance collection. "Yup. In Foe or Love."
"Don't tell me. Two people who are sworn enemies falls in love. Why am I not surprised?"
"Hey can't blame a girl for imagining." We both both laughed for we both knew what that was like.
"Don't look now but he seems to be coming our way." Leya gasped.
Without looking I crossed my fingers, bit my lip and hoped that Leya wasn't right about Vincent. Could it be possible that he has had a crush for the longest while? Could that possibly be the reason he was always so annoying? I thought.
"False alarm."Leya said and we both began to laugh.
We were still laughing as we entered out next class and took our seats next to each other.
What if that happens to me and Vincent, I thought later.
"No I can't let anything like that happen." I sworn silently.

I entered the house after the long day, of school and volley ball practice and everything that followed thereafter. Thankfully I had my own driver which meant that I could relax a bit before I got home. Now that I'm here I really need to talk to those parents of mine, I thought.
"Mom, dad, I'm home!" I shouted but all was silent. "Just typical for them not to be home on days like these." I mumbled to myself no longer having the energy to carry my
