As soon as the door closed Kris literally pounced on me and the interrogation began.
"What were you guys doing? I know you weren't studying, so what were you doing?"
"We were studying. Now get off of me." I answered annoyed pushing him until he fell on to the floor.
"Then why is it that you're looking so flushed?"
He laughed when I used both hands to cover them.
After some minutes of being nagged I gave in and told him everything. He was laughing uncontrollably by end, which I couldn't understand what he found funny.
"That really isn't funny."
I was a bit hurt that instead of helping his sister, who happened to be in a crisis, he laughed. Then just to make matters worst, my parents came home.
"We're home!" I heard my mom saying.
They were the last persons I wanted to see. I was still very upset with them, which brought me back to why brother was laughing at me this minute. Thank heavens that I hadn't told Kris about the kiss I shared with Vincent just before he'd walked in.
My life has become so complicated within a few hours that even Einstein couldn't figure it out.
I sighed, "I going to my room. I don't want to see anyone."
I walked out of the room heading for the stairs that leads to the rooms, before my parents came along.

Kristal's POV
I woke wishing the day hadn't started. Mom and Dad had come to check on me shortly after I'd gone up to my room. They'd come to talk I guess about my failing history grade and my chosen tutor, but I'd been so upset with them that I pretended to be asleep instead and it sure worked. But I still had to faced them along with my brother when I get to breakfast some minutes from now.
Getting up lazily from bed I got myself ready for school. Within twenty minutes I was in my uniform, hair combed and was on my way to the kitchen for breakfast. Dad and Kris were sitting around the table debating the score of some game while Mom was busy filling a vase with water for her flowers that she collected from the garden.
"Morning" I grumbled
"Someone's grumpy." Kris said in a sing song voice that only irritated me more.
Ignoring him I made my cereal and sat down to eat it, only to be disturbed by my parents.
"Sweetheart we knowu that you're upset with us, but we really have your best interest at heart."
"Seriously? We're gonna have this conversation now? I think I'm gonna puke." I said in a high pitched voice. "I'm no longer hungry. I'm gonna be late." I grumbled more to myself than to anyone though I know that they had heard what I had said.
I got up, not bothering to clear my bowl away, I grabbed my bag in the hallway and went through the door. My driver Louis was standing by the big Sedan, waiting for me. The minute he say me He opened the door and waited for me to be settled.
Here's the trouble in all the this.... I would see the one person that I really didn't want to see because Louis had to carpool Vincent and Kevin, along with Leya and myself to school since Mr. Coke had some work emergency which caused him to leave out early. So here we are stuck being carpooled together.
Each time we had situations like these there would always be some kind of argument. but since Leya had found a mutual ground with the boys arguments would normally be between Vincent and I.
I sighed wishing the earth could just open and swallow me whole. Closing my eyes for a moment Vincent's face came into view, and the events of the day before when he kissed me replayed in my mind. I could still feel his lips on mine and for a tiny moment I wished to feel them again. I opened my eyes and took a deep breath. I really gotta get a hold of myself, I thought.
"This is your enemy for crying out loud." I whispered to myself furiously.
"What was that? What about your enemy?" Leya's voice broke me from my trance and I stared at her. I was totally caught up in my own world I hadn't even realized that the vehicle had started moving or that it had stopped.
"Uh - uh - um - n-nothing." I stumbled over my words and I felt a blush rising up. What is wrong with me? I really wanted to know that answer.
"Krissy!" I was frightened by Leya yelling my name for once again I was not paying attention. Now that I was looking at her, giving her my undivided attention Leya asked. "How was your tutoring yesterday? you didn't call like I hoped you would."
I knew she wouldn't let this go even if I wanted to, so I told all that happened, leaving out the details of that I thought wasn't necessary to know about since it wasn't important to me.
"It was fine really. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would." I finished
"Well you seem a little edgy this morning and you keep zoning out." Leya complained.
"Sorry." I smiled sheepishly. "Mom and Dad came home last night shortly after Kris came home. I was so upset with them that I didn't wait to tell them goodnight I just went to bed. Well... I pretended to be asleep and they seem to fall for it cause they left. But this morning while trying to get breakfast down they just had to put me off my food by wanting to talk about having "my best interest at heart" and suddenly I wasn't hungry anymore." I huffed.
"Oh I"m sorry to hear hun. Our parents can be a bit slow." Leya said patting me on the back then leaned onto my shoulders.
"I know right. Tell me something I don't know."

I'd managed to ignore Vincent throughout the ride to school, during the classes we had together and in the halls. Now on my way to the lunchroom I did my best to avoid the route he would normally take. This was supposed to be just another day now it was just another day that I would have to tolerate seeing Vincent's annoying face.
I entered the room and searched for Leya's familiar light brown head until I found it at the left back corner with Kevin and some other guy that I knew was another friend of Vincent.
I walked warily to towards the table. I was in no mood to deal with Vincent but it was obvious that I would be forced to get over myself.
"Hey, you're finally here! We've been waiting for you."
"Sorry that I took so long" I mumbled not feeling sorry at all.
I sat next to Leya not acknowledging the others at the table.
"Hello to you too." Said the guy who had dark brown and playful light brown eyes.
I didn't respond just stared at him for awhile before nodding. He smiled a toothy smile then continued eating his burger. Picking up a soggy fry, I examined it then nibbled at it.
It was while nibbling at my god that I noticed Vincent was not among us.
"So mini me where is Doctor evil?" I asked bored
"Did you miss me?" The question came from behind and out didn't take a fool to know who stood behind me.
"Why would I? Its not like you're important or anything." I huffed
He raised his eyebrows before taking a seat without a word. Suddenly feeling the urge to leave I dug deeper into my seat igniting that urge.
"Are you ok?" Leya had a very confused yet concerned look which caused me to smile.
"Will you stop worrying about me, I quite fine." I assured her.
"You know you can tell me right?" I nod and continued eating but I knew that it kill her that I was keeping secrets.
She continued to stare at me with that worried expression on her face. Though it hurt to see her looking at me like this I couldn't bring myself to tell her all that had happened between Vincent and me. It made me also more upset when I looked up and saw the knowing smirk on Vincent's face that he enjoyed this way too much for my liking.
"Will you stop staring at me it's creeping me out and I find it highly irritating." I irked. I could still feel his eyes boring holes into me from where he sat, and I was becoming more and more peeved by the minute.
"Man will you just give the girl a break." Kevin came to my rescue and that caused me to look up at him but as I searched his face I only saw sincerity and empathy. The bell rang indicating that lunch has ended just as I thought to thank Kevin for putting his friend in place.
"I gotta go guys." I say grabbing my things to leave for my next class, which was History. Just my luck I thought miserably.
Now I had to see Vincent's pathetic face and be harassed by Mr. Leeward who like my parents claim to be looking out for my well-being.

I threw myself across my bed as soon as I got home. After all that happened during the day I ready to crash. The grumbling of my stomach told me that I needed to get something to eat. Rolling from my bed lazily, I made my way to the kitchen.
"Kris is that you? I thought you left for college already!" I heard mom call from somewhere in the direction of our living room.
"No mom its only me." I replied going into the refrigerator to get some juice.
"How was your day?" She asked entering the kitchen.
"It was...ok I guess." I shrugged.
I could feel her eyes boring into me hoping that I would continue, but I kept quiet instead.
"Honey its ok if you don't want to tell me all that happen in your day." Mom ran her hand through my curls before kissing my forehead and left.
I stood looking out the window, totally unaware of anyone around me. I was really engrossed in my thoughts of all that had happened that day. The awkward drive to school in the morning and avoiding Vincent at all cost. But how would it help me if I still had to face him when he came over for our lesson. This really was gonna be awkward. I could feel it.
"Hey..." The sound of
