Chapter I: The End of World War II

"Freedom. It's the one product America specializes in under its federal democracy of a government. Taking it away, it's like playing with fire. It's the end of World War II. We lost. I can't believe we lost. All that preparation gone to shit out a window. And what we got in return? We were overthrown by Nazi bastards. They don't care for whites. They hate blacks, gays, hispanics, disableds, and most of all... Jews."

 

Phoenix was in his living room with his wife by his side. She was diagonally cuddled up besides him, watching television. A small television the size of a cardboard box on four legs. Then there was a sudden knock at the door. It sounded hard with a grandiose amount of force placed against the wood. "Honey, someone's at the door."

 

Phoenix stood up to go get it. Then the black and white screen of a man with a few papers in his hand just received breaking news. And then he said, "Oh... Uh oh... Ummm we have just gotten word that- This.. This is an outrage. My fellow Americans, we have just lost World War II.. From the latest information, we have been told that the 'Third Reich' is invading our country, and is now in control. I have just been told, if you are in the following categories: African American or mixed, Latino or Hispanic, disabled in a way, homosexual, or jewish, please report to the nearest security station for security."

 

Phoenix then looked at the door. "Honey, get in the closet." She was confused. "What-why?"

"Get in the closet, GO GO GO!" 

 

A Nazi kicked down the door and entered the home. "ON ZE GROUND! ON ZE GROUND! JETZT SOFORT!" 

 

Phoenix put up his fists as his wife scurried into the closet. "Motherfucker you ain't telling me what to do!" 

He kicked the Nazi in his pancreas, then punched him the face, knocking him away. A second Nazi entered, aiming a rifle at Phoenix. "AMERICAN! GET ON ZE GROUND, AND NOBODY VILL GET HURT!" 

 

Phoenix had no choice, but laid down on his stomach. The Nazi on the floor said, "Einer von ihnen rannte in diesen Schrank." The second Nazi looked toward the closet and opened it. "EIN JUDE! GET ON ZE GROUND, JUDE!"

 

'You touched my wife? Buddy I'm gonna fuck you up." 

 

The Nazi slammed her down on the floor. "Madame, you are under arrest under ze rule of mein Fuhrer. Any attempt to struggle shall be noted, and will make your punishment vorse. Any questions?"

 

The Nazi then looked at Phoenix. "And you. You will be charged a small fine in a few days once we register this grievance, as you have been married to a jew. We control your country. We control the ropes. Comply?"

 

Phoenix then said, "I'll never bow down to you. I'm gonna kill you and every one of your little racist friends." The Nazis started laughing. "Y-You can't be serious! Well, my name is Dovkin Schriener. Come kill me if you can!" 

 

'The shit I've seen. The people I've lost. You can't do anything but watch it happen. But I'm not gonna bow down to some fuck with a trapezoid for a mustache. Germany's trying to control our country? Fuck you Germany."

Chapter II: Risen from the Ashes

 'Has it really been 3 days since she was kidnapped? I wonder how they're treating her. If I find her chained up in a room, I don't care how many people I'm gonna kill. Abhy, just know, I'm coming to save you.'

 

Phoenix inserted a screwdriver into the back plate of an electronic LED mask. The mask was designed to trasmit the brain's thoughts into a displayable image on the screen it showed. He inserted a 200 volt battery, and closed the backplate. Then he strapped it to his head. The mask powered on, and displayed:

 

"You better get ready, Schriener."

 

Then he pulled out a pair of handlebars on a stick. This was called "The Choppercycle." Its purpose was to be used as a mobile motorcycle, upgradable. Could fit into a backpack. "Big things come in small packages, and so will your Nazi skulls."

His duffle bag was full of weapons. Electronic weapons. There was an electronic pistol. 'I call this little buddy the Cyberpistole. Kids and their technology these days."

 

One of them was a shotgun. 'I killed plenty of cattle with this thing. Time to take this German lambs to the slaughter.' And then there was a rifle. 'I sucked at dartboards. Always hit outside the bullseye. Went to the army. Came back. Hit the bullseye.' Phoenix's neighbor, Mr. James, stood in his driveway. "Phoenix, what're you up to?"

 

"None of your damned business."

 

"Jesus, alright. Just asking."

 

Phoenix turned and faced him with the mask on. "Nice mask..." Mr. James responded, "So can you believe it? The reich's taken over the country. Pretty darned good if I can say so." 

Phoenix didn't react to it. "Now we ain't got none of them undesirables roamin' around."

 

Phoenix shook his head, ignoring him. Phoenix extended the handlebar pole, and the portable device formed into a motorcycle. "I'm coming for you, motherfucker." The mask displayed the speed limit, as he took off. "See you later then?"

Driving down the road, a Nazi zeppelin was hovering over the city of New Orleans. The screen on it had a swastika, with searchlights beaming all over the dark areas of the town. 

 

Digital billboards' ads were now Nazi endorsed. Advertisements originated from Germany. A wall was painted, "Beugen oder sterben!" with a picture of Adolf Hitler. 'Adolf Hitler. Master chief behind all of this torment. Unprejudice. Unfair. Unfree."

 

Phoenix arrived at a toll gate ran by a Nazi guard. "Guten tag! Identifikation, bitte?" 

 

"Uh.... What?"

 

"Errgh, mein gott. Identification. Your 'ID' card. Show it to me." Phoenix was about to reach into his pocket, but then he stopped. Then he said, "ID card? I don't need no fucking ID card." Phoenix's mask displayed a middle finger. He retracted his choppercycle, and hopped over the toll's gate. 

 

"HEY! GET BACK HERE, YOU DUMMKOPF!" 

 

Phoenix then pulled out his choppercycle and took off. The guard dialed the station's number. "Offizier, wir haben einen Mann, der gerade die Maut hoch gesprungen hat!" 

 

'Identification my ass. I don't take orders from schnitzel-eating scumbags.'

 

Later, at night. Nazis patrolled New Orleans. Streets, harbors, buildings, you name it. Every place was bombarded with them. On the curb of the road, a woman was under arrested. 

"African American woman, you are under arrest for resisting thine security notification. Anything you say will upgrade your punishment."

 

Phoenix put his foot on the brake and stopped. He kicked up his kickstand. Then he pulled out his pistol. "Hey, buddy!" 

 

The man turned and Phoenix shot him in the face, killing him. "Ma'am, you alright?" Phoenix questioned. She got off of her knees, and said, "You... You're a savior, boy." "Thanks. But my advice, and you should take it, leave the country. We're in Louisiana so that's gonna be easy." 

 

"Alright. I guess." 

 

'Had to help out a black woman. What does Adolf have against colored people? What did any of them even do?' 

 

Chapter III: Resistance

DOWNTOWN NEW ORLEANS 

 

'I remember this town. Was born in it. Molded by it. The Mardi Gras festivals, parties, old stores. Now it's all gone. Might not get those moments back ever again.' 

The choppercycle was parked, standing on its kickstand. Phoenix removed his mask and walked into a gun-store. His friend, Peter, was behind the counter running it. "Hey, my man! Phoenix! How are you-"

Then he noticed the splatter of blood on his shirt. "OH. UH- How may I help you?"

 

"Hey, man. I need 4 boxes of the following ammunition types: 7.62 milimeter, Shotgun Slugs, 9 milimeter." Peter retrieved the desired products and placed them on the countertop. "Anything else?" 

 

"Nope. That'll be all." 

 

"Great. $35.79 is your total." Phoenix swiped his credit card. "Ooh... You have no einheiten. You got cash or a check?" 

"What the f- Alright I don't speak all this German bullshit, speak in a language I know, Pete."

 

"Units. It's the new Nazi version of credit. You gain some as well as your regular pay from work." Phoenix threw his hands up and said, "Why the hell- UGH! Fine."

 

Phoenix handed him the cash. "Can't believe you're falling through with this shit. They took over our fucking country and you're just going through with it like you've been brainwashed by aliens." Pete falsely smiled and gave him a sticky note.

 

He read it and it said in a sloppy handwriting:

 

WE'RE BEING WATCHED.

 

"Pete, I ain't got time for your horse-shit, listen to me! Our leader isn't Adolf Hitler, it's Roosevelt! I'm not bowing down to a racist little commie bastard!" 

Pete stopped smiling and said, "Listen, Mr. Leopard-"

 

"Call me Phoenix."

 

"Yeah, Phoenix, I hate it too, but if we don't comply with the new world order, me and you are dead meat on a pike!" 

 

"Pete, listen. My wife, she was kidnapped by the Nazis. You know why?"

 

"She's Jewish, right?"

 

"Right. I'm on a mission to get her back, kill as many of those Nazi jerks as I can. You can join the fight with me and probably some other people out there. Pete, I'm asking you because you're my buddy, alright? Please- Just do the right thing!"

 

Pete reached under the counter and pulled out a two-shot deringer. "I've been wondering when I'd use this. Guess today's the day." Phoenix and Pete walked outside to the choppercycle. Pete climbed onto the back of the motorcycle and Phoenix slipped on his mask. "You're gonna want to hold on tight."

 

The two sped off. "HOOOOOOLLLLLLLLYYYYYYY SSSHHHHHITTTTT!" 

Phoenix's mask displayed the speed gauge: "86 MPH." Phoenix looked up, and saw the Nazi blimp, again. 

 

PHOENiX'S RESIDENCE

 

The two arrived in Phoenix's garage. "Here we are. Home sweet home. Until those guys showed up." Peter stepped off of the motorcycle. "You don't use a car?"

"Why use a car when you can use a portable motorcycle? Gets you everywhere faster." Phoenix minimized the motorcycle into its downgraded form. Pete walked around the garage, and the workbenches surrounding the walls. Tool racks, scrapped technology, advanced materials.

"So... Where do we start?"

 

“First mission I had: Find out where all this crap is located and who holds the crap.” Phoenix arrived at a police station on his motorcycle. He retracted it and entered the place with his mask on.

 

“Sir! You may not have zat mask on inside ze building, ja?”

Phoenix aimed his pistol at the Nazi, sitting behind the glass to the counter. “Where’s all the people you capture? WHERE DO YOU HIDE THEM?”
